Chuck bombed by an Indian Myna - 7th June 2010

Chuck and Cherrie came around early this morning. While Cherrie sat coyly in a nearby grevilleae Chuck sat on the corner of the aircon below the entrance to the nest making his familiar hopeful chattering sounds. It is clear that he is making his suggestion that the pair take up the nest they have used over the last two years.

Clearly Cherrie is not quite ready to move in and a while later I caught these images of Chuck alone in the grass near the nest taking on an Indian Myna.

The Indian Myna was continually bombing Chuck - you can see how his body is contorted or ducking in some of the photos. Our brave boy stood his ground and only flew away when he was ready to.
